He frequently moved from one poor area to another in Cebu
City and kept a very low profile.
His current whereabouts are not known. At that time I knew
of six other genuine "psychic
surgeons" in the Philippines. The most famous and
much documented one, Tony Agpaua, had just died.
Nothing in his environment or behaviour pointed at deception.
As a result of this webpage, I sometimes receive email from
people who are looking for help -any help- for their own illnesses
or illnesses of their loved ones. Mostly the ailments have
been declared incurable by their doctors.
Apart from offering my sympathy, I am sorry to say that I
am unable to offer any help. I am not a health professional,
not even an alternative one. My professional background is
Law.
All I can do is warn desperate patients to be careful and
not trust the first person at the airport who offers to take
them to a "psychid surgeon". Unfortunately, the
Philippines is a poor country and the temptation to deceive
desperate gullible foreigners is too much for many clever
exploiters of this unique phenomenon.
There are many web sites devoted to "debunking"
psychic surgery as such, simply based on the thousands of
instances that bogus healers perform sleigh-of-hand tricks
that superficially look like the genuine bare hand "surgery".
They prefer to ignore the many documented operations, many
on clear video, that cannot be so easily explained.
I do not know where Jun Toting or any of the other psychic
healers currently are. The sole purpose of my web page on
this subject is to offer a testimony and evidence of something
extraordinary that me and my wife have witnessed and cannot
explain.
Please mail me with other
material on the subject.
